Iwi and Hapū of Te Rohe o Te Wairoa Claims Settlement Bill
Bills are proposals to make a new law or to change an existing one. Only Parliament can pass a bill. Each bill goes through several stages, giving MPs and the public the chance to have their say.
This bill gives effect to the Deed of Settlement in which the Crown and the iwi and hapū of Te Rohe o Te Wairoa agree to a final settlement of all historical Treaty of Waitangi claims of the iwi and hapū of Te Rohe o Te Wairoa.MP in charge
