Rates Rebate (Statutory Declarations) Amendment Bill
Bills are proposals to make a new law or to change an existing one. Only Parliament can pass a bill. Each bill goes through several stages, giving MPs and the public the chance to have their say.
The objectives of this bill are to make it easier for eligible applicants to apply for a rates rebate, to replace the requirement to make a statutory declaration with a requirement to verify the application, and to allow authorities to design application forms for the purposes of the Rates Rebate Act 1973.MP in charge
