Fuel Industry Amendment Bill

Government Bill
Published date: 12 Feb 2024

Bills are proposals to make a new law or to change an existing one. Only Parliament can pass a bill. Each bill goes through several stages, giving MPs and the public the chance to have their say.

This bill amends the Fuel Industry Act 2020 to provide a threat of price regulation, subject to a recommendation from the Commerce Commission, to incentivise wholesale suppliers to offer competitive terminal gate prices.
