Rotorua District Council (Representation Arrangements) Bill

Local Bill
Published date: 06 Nov 2023

Bills are proposals to make a new law or to change an existing one. Only Parliament can pass a bill. Each bill goes through several stages, giving MPs and the public the chance to have their say.

This Bill specified representation arrangements to apply to the next two triennial general elections of Rotorua District Council. These arrangements would conform with the findings of a Representation Review held by the Council in 2021, but are not currently enabled under the Local Electoral Act 2001.
