Student Loan Scheme (First Home Repayment Diversion) Amendment Bill
Bills are proposals to make a new law or to change an existing one. Only Parliament can pass a bill. Each bill goes through several stages, giving MPs and the public the chance to have their say.
This bill’s purpose is to assist New Zealanders with student loans to save a deposit for their first home by allowing compulsory student loan repayments, or a nominated percentage of the repayments, to be delayed and diverted to a first home deposit saving scheme.MP in charge
