Arms (Shooting Clubs, Shooting Ranges, and Other Matters) Amendment Bill

Bills are proposals to make a new law or to change an existing one. Only Parliament can pass a bill. Each bill goes through several stages, giving MPs and the public the chance to have their say.

This bill aims to support public safety outcomes by improving compliance with the Arms Act 1983. It does this by simplifying the regulatory requirements for non-pistol shooting clubs and ranges and changing some of the requirements in relation to inspections.
